Now here is a classic lesson on volume.

The volume, or activity on this stock, virtually comes out of nowhere. That's telling me something's up, and is a chart to watch. In fact even without the volume bars, you can see quite clearly the bar chart itself is displaying more activity of late, and heavier bars. That's telling me a trend is coming, maybe. What's more, I don't have to panic myself into a quick decision, merely be patient enough to wait for the trend to develop off a higher bottom.
